We have officially launched our new collection! The work represents a gentle approach to design and displays a mix of organic Khadi cotton, printed using a hand carved woodblock and natural dyes such as madder root, indigo and pomegranate.
Discover our hand-printed textile range and champion the exquisite artisanship of rural India, as we unite in supporting ethical practices, natural dyes, and traditional craftsmanship at the WOMAD festival in July.
Block printing has been used in India since at least the 12th century, and the method is thought to be 2,000 years old. The wood used is called Sheesham but more commonly known as North Indian Rosewood.
Learn how to print using natural dye woodblock printing. You will have fun pressing magical motifs, colours and patterns onto organic textiles.
